Ideas for using pomegranates!
Pomegranates are one of the healthiest foods in the world. The most common way to consume a pomegranate is to simply eat the seeds (arils) or drink fresh pomegranate juice. Below are some ideas to help you make the most of pomegranates in your kitchen.
1) Juice the seeds using a juicer or a blender. Use a kitchen sieve to strain the juice before drinking if needed.
2) Use some fresh pomegranate juice in salad dressings or in a marinade. You can also add fresh pomegranate seeds to salads for something a little different.
3) Put some fresh pomegranate seeds on top of yogurt for a quick and healthy snack. Feel free to add some almonds for even more nutrition, texture and flavour.
4) Let some vanilla ice cream soften slightly on your counter and smash in some pomegranate seeds. Put the mixture back in the freezer to let it harden. Scoop out your freshly prepared pomegranate vanilla ice cream. Better yet, make your own fresh ice cream using on of these great ice cream machines.
5) Grab a bowl, fill it with some fresh pomegranate seeds and dig in. Sometimes simple is best!
