“When Ariz David opened Cucina Moderna in Dresden Row Market just over a year ago, the world of specialty kitchenware opened wide for Haligonians. Carrying only the coolest items from quality brands, such as All-Clad, Mauviel, Kasumi, Global and Rosenthal, David made sure that his store wasn’t just kitchen eye candy. “Our mission is to get people to come in and sample the products,” he says. “They can use the espresso machines, cut with the knives, even fry an egg to test the non-stick pans.” But for anyone adamant about just browsing, the 2000 square foot store is a sleek, modern feast for the eyes."
